The collaboration between COMNETS Research Group of Sriwijaya University and Association for Computer Machinery (ACM) Student Chapter of Sriwijaya University organized the fourth talk series in September 2024. Activity COMNETS-ACM Student Talk Series this time carries the theme "Basic Command & Container in RedHat Operating System." This event presented three speakers, Edo Pratama, Ardi Tri Yudha, and M. Rafie Al-Hamas, who are students majoring in Computer Systems at Sriwijaya University. The speakers already have international certifications RedHat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)This event was the first of its kind, proving their expertise in this field. The event was attended by 140 students from Computer Systems, Information Systems, Informatics Engineering, and Computer Engineering majors, both through Zoom and live streaming on YouTube.

This activity was divided into two sessions. The first session took place on September 23, 2024 with a discussion of the basic commands that are often used in the RedHat operating system, explained by M. Rafie Al-Hamas. On September 30, 2024, Edo Pratama and Ardi Tri Yudha led the second session, which discussed the main components of the container and the practice of using the RedHat operating system. In his session, Ardi Tri Yudha explained the three main components of containers, namely Container Images, Container Registry, and Container RuntimeIn this practice, you will learn about the containers that exist in the RedHat operating system. The containers used in this practice are PodmanIn addition, Edo Pratama gave a challenge to the participants to solve the problem precisely and quickly.
